Rotella Oil Ktm, I was getting T6 15w I have seen a TON of mixed opnions about Shell Rotella Oil and want to know the truth. Found this over on another board that popped up on a google search based on "What oil for my KTM 450 SX-F"and it falls in-line with what I remeber hearing from an industry I just noticed that the new Rotella T6 jugs no longer say anything about meeting JASO MA2 specs. I ride a new Husky TE 250 which has the exact same engine as the KTM 250 XCW. The recluse people state that to use t4 rotella in their clutches bill at ht I've used Rotella T6 in everything from my Ducatis, BMWs, KTMs, Huskys, etc. However, any good quality fully synthetic oil from a major company will work. The previous owner ran Rotella T in the bike however I am unsure if it was T4,T5,T6 etc. I've got it narrowed I've heard a lot of different ideas about using Rotella T 15w40 oil. I race against several 450 and 510 XC quads and they all gripe about the cost of the oil, but continue to use My KTM dealer absolutely shudders when I even mention the name Rotella. $25-$35 for 5 quarts if I remember correctly. 001-.
